About Us

Helping children and families find their way.

Okey Dokey Childhood Therapy is a child and family-focused allied health practice in Bayswater, supporting children, young people and families across Melbourne and Australia-wide via telehealth.

Welcome to Okey Dokey

Okey Dokey Childhood Therapy is a child and family-focused allied health practice established by Clinical Director Raelene Dundon and CEO Andrew Tompkins.

Okey Dokey began in 2011, with Raelene working as the practice's sole clinician. From the beginning, Raelene and Andrew shared a vision: to create a welcoming place where children, young people and their families could access high-quality Psychology and Occupational Therapy support from professionals who genuinely understood children.

More than a decade later, that vision continues to guide everything we do.

We believe therapy works best when children feel safe, understood and accepted for who they are. Our approach is family-centred, neurodiversity-affirming and individualised, recognising that every child has their own strengths, needs, interests, communication style and way of experiencing the world.

Rather than trying to make children fit a particular mould, we work alongside children and families to better understand what is happening for them, build on their strengths, develop helpful skills and supports, and make everyday life feel more manageable.

We also believe children deserve to have a voice in the support they receive. Respecting a child's autonomy, preferences and individual ways of communicating is an important part of our approach.

A team that understands children

Over the years, Andrew and Raelene have carefully built a team of Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and administration staff who share their commitment to compassionate, thoughtful and evidence-informed care.

Today, Okey Dokey has grown to become one of Melbourne's larger allied health practices dedicated exclusively to supporting children, adolescents and their families.

Our clinicians support children and young people across a wide range of areas, including anxiety and emotional wellbeing, emotional regulation, sensory differences, motor development, learning, social communication, confidence, independence and everyday participation at home, school and in the community.

We have particular experience supporting Autistic children and young people, ADHDers and other neurodivergent children, and we aim to provide support that respects neurological differences rather than viewing them as something that needs to be "fixed".

Supporting the whole child

For us, good therapy is about much more than reducing difficulties or achieving a list of goals.

It is about understanding the whole child — their strengths, challenges, relationships, environment and what matters to them and their family.

We work collaboratively with families to provide practical, compassionate and creative support that helps children feel understood, develop confidence and participate more fully in the things that are important to them.

Above all, we want Okey Dokey to be a place where children and families feel welcomed, respected and supported.

Because every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn and thrive — while still being completely themselves.
